Since starting out with online projects and social media I have been amazed to see how many small companies compete with the heavy weights – independent bookshops vs amazon, local fruit and veg market stall vs Tesco. How do they do this compete? These local companies can’t compete on price, due to the multinationals hugh buying power. But what they do have is the power to compete with interactions that builds a community where happy customers can tell their friends.Forget flashy tools, that sparkle and look great, go for the tools that allow you to spread your passion for your product – facebook, twitter, linkedin, youtube, these are all available for free to everyone, but your passion is just for you and your customers. Technical skills is not essentially, passion is vital.
