Working In The Cloud & On The Move

After reading Seth Godin’s latest blog post ‘Good Bye To the Office‘ I started to look at the options of where I work and what tools I could use to support this.

Essentially as most of the tasks I do are fairly systematic and none are location dependent I think this is very possible, with the only exceptions being answering my land line phone number.

So today I have set up the following:

Google Docs – a whole office suite in the cloud (word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and drawing function) – FREE Tool

Dropbox – an awesome way to store and sync files across Mac, PC and Smart-phone – FREE version

Log Me In – Remote access to my main computer if I need access to specialist applications – FREE version

Skype – to direct the landline number to the cloud – SMALL charge

So, tomorrow I am going to test working on the move. Here we go…..
